Discover the rich artisan tradition of the Casentino area, where its products are still manufactured by traditional methods passed down by generations. Survey the different phases of preparation of these products up until their eventual entry into the commercial market.

This tour will highlight the cultural and traditional uses of the area's raw products. Casentine craftwork is based on the use of simple raw materials: wood, stone, iron and wool.  Woodwork for centuries has constituted one of the principle trades of the area, while the use of wool has led to the creation of the famous "Casentine cloth", manufactured in the traditional colors of orange and green. 

You will see the factory where the Casentine cloth is made, witness the production of Casentine honey, taste many of the area's renowned gastronomic products, and be able to purchase them at reasonable prices. You will also visit the Wool Museum, as well as small and characteristic shops and larger stores which sell these traditional items.
