Gala Dinner With Traditional Vegetable and Cheese Dishes

Departure with driver/host for a full-day Val D'Orcia excursion. Though the beautiful landscape was sculptured during the renaissance, you can admire the rational aesthetic sense regarding the roads, hills and vegetation. All has been put together to please the eye, and above all the spirit of the traveller, inspiring painters and writers from all over the world.

Your trip will take you through the heart of Tuscany to visit Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano. Here you will take a cheese tasting in a local cheese maker, a wine tasting and a visit in a historical winery of Montepulciano or Montalcino.

Return at the Relais where Claudio will prepare a gala dinner with every cheese and vegetable you have tasted on the menu.

Day 6: Cooking Restaurant Experience and Excursion to Discover Chianti

After this last cooking experience you will depart to discover the charming Chianti wine region with its vineyards and winery, and take a special dinner in the most historical winery in the Fonterutoli village. Here you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Tuscany, and of course take the wine tasting.

Day 7: Truffle Valley and Local Products Tastings

Gala Dinner with Regional Fish Menu

Departure with driver/host for a full day excursion. You will have a 2 hour guided walking tour with a licensed truffle hunter and visit the truffle laboratory with a tasting.

The lands of Leonardo in the province of Florence offer the visitor a wonderful territory rich in art and history. You are in the truffles region! Their search and use in local gourmet restaurants has a long tradition. Here, the white truffle embodies rural and social micro-history.

In the San Miniato area and in hilly Volterra, fairs and village banquets celebrate the maturing of this tasty parasite, which thrives under oak and poplar trees. During your guided tour, you will accompany a licensed truffle hunter and his trained truffle-sniffing dog in an exciting hunt for truffles.

But your excursion is not finished! You will visit a truffle factory where the owners will explain how they work on truffles and will offer a nice tasting of their products. Return to the Relais, and have your last gala dinner today. You will taste impeccable fish dishes, and why not enjoy a something with truffle.

Day 8: Departure
